Business Development Manager

Location: Dublin / Leinster (flexible)

Employment Type: Full-time, permanent

Salary: Range €50,000 - €60,000 (DOE)

The Role

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to join a growing commercial team within a technical services environment.

The role will focus on new business development and managing inbound enquiries, with the opportunity to progress into managing a portfolio of accounts over time.

This position is well suited to someone early in their commercial career, including individuals looking to transition from a hands-on technical role or candidates with a couple of years’ relevant experience.

Full training and support will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Identifying and developing new business opportunities
• Following up on inbound leads and customer enquiries
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships
• Attending client meetings, site visits, and industry events
• Supporting quotations, proposals, and tender submissions
• Managing and growing accounts once established

Candidate Profile

• Background in a technical, engineering, or construction-related sector preferred
• Comfortable communicating with customers and stakeholders
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Motivated, reliable, and keen to develop commercial experience
• Willing to travel for meetings within Dublin and surrounding areas
• Full clean driving licence

Experience

• Sales experience is not essential but would be an advantage
• Suitable for candidates with 1–3 years’ industry experience
• Ideal for engineers or technicians looking to move into a business development role

Working Arrangements

• Full-time role with flexibility as required
• Combination of office-based work and client meetings
• Occasional travel outside the local area may be required
