The Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Life Safety Engineer.

This is a senior, hands-on role suited to an engineer with extensive experience servicing and maintaining fire alarms, emergency lighting systems, fire suppression systems and fire extinguishers.

The role is focused on maintaining high service standards across a broad life safety portfolio, supporting contract-based sites and ensuring compliant service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across life safety systems• Servicing and fault-finding on fire alarm systems• Working on emergency lighting systems• Servicing and supporting fire suppression systems• Fire extinguisher inspections, maintenance and remedial works• Diagnostics, fault-finding and remedial works on live sites• Completing service documentation and reports accurately• Representing the business professionally with end clients• Supporting high service standards across contract-based / rolling PPM portfolios• Participating in on-call rota as required

Systems Exposure

Strong experience required across:

• Fire alarms• Emergency lighting• Fire suppression systems• Fire extinguishers• Life safety systems

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 10 years’ experience servicing and maintaining life safety systems• Strong background across fire alarms, emergency lighting, suppression and extinguishers• Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of sites• Proven fault-finding and diagnostic capability• Full clean driving licence• Strong communication and customer-facing skills
