Senior Project Manager – Electronic Security

Overview

We are supporting a leading electronic security business looking to hire a Senior Project Manager in Germany.

This is a senior, end-to-end project delivery role covering major enterprise security projects.

The successful person will manage customer engagement from early-stage planning and design support through installation, handover and aftercare, with a strong focus on programme control, quality, commercial performance and customer relationships.

The Role

You will take ownership of project delivery across customer sites, working closely with internal teams, subcontractors, local labour and key client stakeholders.

Typical responsibilities include:

• Taking full ownership of project delivery, programme, budget, quality and customer communication• Planning and monitoring project progress against key dates and milestones• Leading customer meetings and acting as a trusted point of contact• Coordinating project teams, supervisors, subcontractors and local labour• Managing project documentation, reporting, technical submissions and quality records• Overseeing materials, procurement and timely delivery to site• Managing variations, change orders and scope changes• Monitoring project costs, profitability, invoicing and financial performance• Carrying out site reviews covering progress, quality and health and safety• Ensuring handover documentation, as-builts and commissioning records are completed correctly• Supporting and coaching colleagues across the wider operations and delivery team

Systems Exposure

Experience with enterprise-level electronic security systems is strongly preferred, particularly:

• Lenel• S2• C-Cure• AMAG• Enterprise access control• Enterprise CCTV• Integrated security platforms

About You

This role will suit an experienced Senior Project Manager already operating at enterprise security level and comfortable owning complex projects independently.

You should have:

• 10+ years’ experience in the electronic security industry• Strong experience across large enterprise access control and CCTV projects• 5+ years’ team leadership or supervisory experience• Experience managing subcontractors, programmes, budgets and client expectations• Good commercial understanding across labour, materials, variations and cost control• Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills• A structured and detail-focused approach• The ability to manage multiple live projects in demanding environments

Requirements

• Recognised project management qualification• SMSTS or equivalent health and safety qualification• Suitable ECS or equivalent certification• Good understanding of contract and project financial management• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook• Full driving licence• Right to work in Germany / the EU• Flexible to travel to customer sites as required

Notes

This is a predominantly site-based role, with regular travel to customer locations across Germany.

The position is suited to someone who enjoys ownership, customer engagement and delivering complex security projects from planning through to successful handover.
