The Role

Our Client is seeking an experienced Senior Security & Fire Engineer.

This is a senior, hands-on role suited to an engineer with extensive experience across security systems, combined with basic fire alarm knowledge, supporting a broad maintenance and service portfolio.

The role is primarily security-focused, with fire alarm exposure required to support mixed fire & security contracts and ensure compliant service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance and servicing across security systems
  • Fault finding, diagnostics, and remedial works on live sites
  • Supporting junior engineers and maintaining high service standards
  • Working across contract-based / rolling PPM portfolios
  • Completing service documentation and reports accurately
  • Representing the business professionally with end clients
  • Participating in on-call rota as required

Systems Exposure (Typical)

Strong experience required in security systems, including:

  • CCTV
  • Access Control
  • Intruder Alarms

Basic working knowledge of fire alarm systems is required (maintenance / fault response level).

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the Fire & Security industry
  • Strong background in security maintenance environments
  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of sites
  • Proven fault-finding and diagnostic capability
  • Full clean driving licence
  • Strong communication and customer-facing skills
