The Opportunity

Monatrix is looking for an experienced Security Service & Maintenance Engineer to join its engineering team, primarily supporting customers across Birmingham and the surrounding Midlands region.

This is predominantly a service and maintenance position, focused on planned maintenance, reactive service calls, technical fault-finding and corrective works across electronic security systems. There may occasionally be a requirement to support installation or small works, but the core focus is providing customers with a high-quality, responsive technical service.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned service and preventative maintenance visits across customer sites.
• Attend reactive service calls, diagnose faults and complete corrective/remedial works.
• Fault-find across CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Alarm systems.
• Identify additional works, upgrades or remedial requirements and communicate these clearly with the office.
• Complete service reports, maintenance records and job documentation accurately and on time.
• Maintain regular communication with Monatrix's service coordinators regarding job progress and customer requirements.
• Occasionally support installation, upgrades and small works where required.
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a professional presence on every site.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company Health & Safety procedures.
• Maintain company vehicles, tools and equipment to a professional standard.

What We’re Looking For

You'll ideally have 3+ years' experience within electronic security engineering, with a strong background in service, maintenance and fault-finding. Monatrix is looking for someone who is technically capable, dependable and comfortable managing their own workload in the field. You should have a strong customer-service mindset and be confident diagnosing problems rather than simply replacing equipment. Experience across CCTV, Access Control and Intruder systems would be advantageous, although attitude, technical aptitude and willingness to develop are equally important.
