Cutting straight to the chase, we’re looking for the person who can take this network to the next level, by managing and building existing partnerships, while developing a highly efficient distribution strategy going forward.
You’ll be distribution sales number one, reporting to the Global Head of Sales for Klaxon and OEM. And you’ll have plenty of freedom to run the operation (with a focus on major/national accounts which offer considerable growth potential).
Responsibility for a sizeable multi £m revenue, with projected growth of 5% per year and all distribution sales revenue within the UK.
While this is very much a hands-on, on-the-road, distribution sales position, you’ll have a major voice in shaping the network for maximum impact, selecting dealers and defining the commercial strategy.
You’ll already be working in a distribution sales management role, possibly regionally or as national number two. A firm grasp of mass distribution concepts is vital and of course you’ll have excellent account management and development skills.
Additionally, we're looking for someone who has a clear eye for the bottom line and can ‘read between the numbers’ to see exactly where the commercial opportunities lie.
Fire market knowledge/expertise is definitely an advantage, but we would consider someone who has operated in very closely related sectors with similar mass distribution operations.
Beyond this it’s energy, ambition and commercial creativity that matter (along with a decent grasp of how to deal in technical products).
