Zitko are working with a rapidly growing Fire & Security integrator who are looking for a Project Supervisor to take responsibility for the day-to-day coordination of engineers and delivery of projects across London.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has already gained some supervisory or team leadership experience and is looking to develop further into a project-focused management position.

The role is primarily off the tools, with the focus on planning, coordinating engineers, monitoring project progress, client liaison and ensuring projects are delivered to a high standard and within agreed timescales.

However, this is not a role for someone simply looking to step away from engineering. The successful candidate will have the attitude and work ethic to get involved and support the engineering team when required – whether that is due to deadlines, sickness or a particular project requirement.

You will be working across prestigious client sites in London, including museums, military sites and corporate office environments, delivering integrated security projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate a team of engineers across multiple projects/sites.
• Plan and allocate daily tasks to engineers and ensure projects remain on schedule.
• Monitor progress, identify issues and communicate any challenges to the wider project/operations team.
• Carry out toolbox talks and ensure engineers are properly briefed and prepared for the work ahead.
• Act as a key point of contact for clients on site and maintain strong working relationships.
• Support project administration, documentation, handovers and completion of works.
• Work closely with the Project/Operations Manager to ensure projects are delivered on time and within agreed costs.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, professionalism and health & safety.
• Support the engineering team hands-on when genuinely required, although this will not be the main focus of the position.
• Help ensure projects are delivered to the required technical and client standards.

About You

We are looking for someone who genuinely wants to progress into a supervisory/project delivery role.

You may come from an engineering background, but we are not looking for someone who simply wants to move away from being on the tools. The right person will enjoy coordinating people, planning work, solving problems and taking responsibility for successful project delivery.

You will ideally have:

• Previous experience within Fire & Security, particularly IP CCTV, Access Control and/or Intruder systems.
• Previous supervisory, team leadership or project coordination experience.
• Alternatively, strong evidence that you have been actively developing yourself towards a supervisory/management position.
• Experience working on commercial, corporate or other technically demanding client sites.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• A proactive attitude and the willingness to get involved when the team needs additional support.
• The ability to manage engineers, prioritise workloads and keep projects moving.
• Experience with enterprise-level systems such as Lenel, Gallagher, Genetec, C-Cure, Milestone or similar would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of Fire and/or PAVA systems would be beneficial, although training can be provided.

• Circa £45,000 basic salary, depending on experience
