Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and ideally somewhat experienced QSHE Advisor to join the team. This role is crucial in ensuring their commitment to QSHE compliance and in promoting a culture of continuous improvement. The QSHE Advisor will support various departments by providing guidance, conducting assessments, and leading initiatives that maintain and enhance the QSHE standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Quality Assurance: Collaborate with project teams to ensure all quality standards are met, and perform regular audits to monitor compliance.
  • Safety & Health Management: Lead safety audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Environmental Compliance: Monitor environmental policies, track relevant KPIs, and develop initiatives to minimize environmental impact.
  • Training & Development: Provide QSHE training to staff and contractors, ensuring awareness and adherence to standards.
  • Policy Implementation: Support the development and implementation of QSHE policies, keeping up-to-date with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement within QSHE systems, working with departments to implement practical and effective solutions.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience: Ideally you would have worked in a similar role previously. This isn't a role for someone looking to get in to this field, you will need a certain amount of existing knowledge and experience but training and development will be provided.
  • Certifications: IOSH, or equivalent qualifications is required. NEBOSH is highly desirable but training and certification will be provided with NEBOSH if you don't have it.
  • Knowledge: A good understanding of QSHE legislation, standards (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001), and best practices.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills; proficiency in MS Office, good report writing skills.
  • Attributes: A proactive and adaptable team player with strong attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.
