Supporting Employee Wellbeing: How Zitko Marked Mental Health Awareness Week 2025
At Zitko, we’re committed to creating a workplace where people feel supported, valued, and connected—every day of the year. For Mental Health Awareness Week 2025, we took that commitment outdoors with a team picnic in the sunshine, bringing everyone together for quality time, relaxation, and meaningful connection.
Why Mental Health Awareness Matters in the Workplace
Mental Health Awareness Week is an important reminder that mental wellbeing is just as vital as physical health. But at Zitko, we believe support shouldn't be limited to a single week each year. That’s why we’ve built long-term initiatives that prioritise employee wellbeing, reduce stigma, and foster open conversation.
Creating Space for Connection and Support
To celebrate the week, our team stepped away from screens and schedules to enjoy a picnic lunch in the sun—a chance to slow down, laugh, and spend quality time together as colleagues and friends.
We know that small moments of connection can make a big impact. Activities like these help strengthen relationships, build trust, and remind us all that it’s okay to take a break and check in with one another.
Our Employee-Led Mental Health Team
A key part of Zitko’s wellbeing strategy is our employee-led mental health team. This group plays an active role in shaping our workplace culture, organising initiatives, gathering feedback, and ensuring that support is continuous—not just reactive.
By regularly asking our people what makes them feel supported and valued, we’re able to evolve our approach and make mental health a core part of how we operate—not an afterthought.
Building a Positive and Supportive Workplace Culture
At Zitko, being a great place to work starts with being a good place to be. We’re proud of the culture we’ve built—and we’re always working to make it stronger. Whether it’s through structured initiatives or informal team moments, our goal is to ensure everyone at Zitko feels safe, heard, and empowered to bring their full selves to work.
