Job Title: Fire Alarm Engineer

Location: Kent/South LondonSalary: Basic £36,000 to £45,000Contract: Full-time, 8.30am to 5.00pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Attend reactive callouts, diagnose faults and complete small works on fire alarm systems across Kent and South London.
• Service and maintain conventional, addressable and wireless fire detection systems, ensuring compliance with NSI and industry standards.
• Carry out routine testing and maintenance of emergency lighting and provide support on access control, intruder and CCTV systems when required.
• Complete all works to a high standard, accurately documenting findings and actions while adhering to health and safety procedures.
• Participate in an on-call rota (1 in 6 weeks), providing out-of-hours support and delivering exceptional customer service at all times.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience with conventional, addressable and wireless fire alarm systems.
• Familiarity with major fire panel brands such as Gent and Vesda, including app-based systems.
• Good working knowledge of intruder alarms, with experience in access control, door entry and IP/analogue CCTV systems desirable.
• Understanding of DualCom monitoring and other communication devices used in security systems.
• Experience in maintaining emergency lighting systems.
• Well-versed in NSI codes of practice covering installation, commissioning and maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of current industry standards, including EN50131, PD6662, DD243, BS4737, and BS8243.
